About the Role
This position offers a dynamic opportunity to gain significant exposure to a variety of transactional tax matters, including fund formation, REITs, joint ventures, private equity, and M&A. You will play an integral role in high-profile, complex transactions, working closely with a team of elite professionals to deliver innovative solutions for clients. As a key advisor, you will provide expert guidance on tax-efficient structures and transactions, ensuring that client needs are met with precision and foresight.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive transactional tax advice, focusing on M&A, partnership structures, fund formation, REITs, joint ventures, and private equity. You will work directly with clients to develop tax-efficient strategies that align with their goals while navigating complex legal and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will also extend to drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents related to tax planning and compliance. Collaborating with both clients and other professionals, you will ensure alignment on strategic objectives and the seamless execution of transactions. Additionally, you will assist with addressing intricate tax issues, providing proactive counsel on developments in the legal and regulatory landscape.
Salary Range: $250,000 - $305,000, based on relevant years of experience.
Requirements
Solid transactional tax experience with exposure to general M&A and partnership issues
4-5 years of transactional tax experience, with exposure to M&A and partnership issues.
Strong academic credentials, with an LL.M. in taxation or significant tax coursework at the JD level preferred.
Law firm experience is strongly preferred, but large accounting firm experience will be considered.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Licensed and in good standing in the state in which you practice.
Must be available for in-office work three days a week.
