About the Role
The firm is seeking a Senior Director of Media Planning to play a key leadership role within its global strategy and planning function, with a primary focus on U.S. clients.
This is a hands-on, senior-level role for someone who can bridge consumer insight, communications strategy, and media execution. You will lead the development of integrated, insight-driven planning frameworks while also owning the details across channel strategy, investment allocation, and audience design.
The position sits at the center of client strategy, working closely with senior leadership, account teams, and global partners across EMEA and APAC. It requires someone who is confident operating independently, influencing senior stakeholders, and shaping both client outcomes and new business efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Insight
Develop insight-led media strategies grounded in consumer behavior, cultural context, and market dynamics
Translate data into clear, actionable planning frameworks across the full customer journey
Deliver high-impact strategic narratives and client-facing presentations
Media Strategy Leadership
Own end-to-end planning across Paid Social, Programmatic, Search, CTV, and broader omnichannel environments
Define channel roles, budget allocation, and investment strategy
Align media planning with creative, measurement, and business objectives
Client & Commercial Leadership
Serve as a senior strategic advisor to clients, shaping long-term growth strategies
Partner with account leads and global teams to ensure consistency and excellence
Play a key role in new business development, including pitches and strategic positioning
Innovation & Thought Leadership
Bring forward new ideas across media, data, and technology
Advance planning approaches at the intersection of brand and performance
Team Leadership
Mentor and develop planning talent across regions
Contribute to building best practices and strengthening overall planning capabilities
Requirements
6–8+ years of experience in media planning and strategy, ideally within a digital or integrated agency environment
Strong expertise across Paid Social, Programmatic, and Search, with exposure to CTV and omnichannel planning
Proven ability to connect consumer insight to media strategy and business outcomes
Experience balancing performance marketing with brand-building initiatives
Strong analytical skills, including experience with platforms such as Google Analytics, GWI, YouGov, Meta, or similar
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders
Experience working across multiple markets or global teams is a plus
