Karen Surgent

​​As the Founder and Principal of Spark Talent HQ, a boutique executive search firm, Karen specializes in placing senior and executive leaders across marketing and the financial markets. With more than 20 years of recruiting experience, she brings the judgment, market insight, and access to the right people when the hire matters most.

She began her career at BBDO New York before moving into a boutique agency environment where she helped build and expand its digital division. She transitioned into executive search more than two decades ago and has since partnered with agencies, growth-stage companies, and financial firms across the U.S.

Karen works closely with a select group of clients, leading each search with a focused, hands-on approach and a clear understanding of what it takes to build high-performing teams.
