About the Role
We are seeking a resourceful and driven Director of Business Development to lead new business efforts within the Digital division. This includes platforms such as Amazon.com, Walmart.com, retail media, online media buying, TikTok, and other leading e-commerce marketplaces.
This role is pivotal to accelerating growth. The Director will be hands-on in identifying opportunities, sourcing leads, forging strategic partnerships, closing deals, and influencing the broader business development strategy. It’s an entrepreneurial opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping brands succeed in the digital marketplace.
As Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging new client opportunities through proactive outreach, research, and networking. You will manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing, developing tailored proposals and presentations that highlight the company’s value proposition. In addition, you will collaborate with internal teams to create compelling sales materials, ensuring alignment with marketing campaigns and demand generation initiatives.
A critical part of this role will be staying ahead of industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities, while also representing the company at client meetings, conferences, and industry events. You will partner closely with leadership to refine the go-to-market strategy and work with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless onboarding experience for new clients, all while driving measurable revenue growth and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, within digital marketing, e-commerce, or marketplace growth.
Proven track record of closing high-value deals and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
Ability to independently source leads, build and manage a strong pipeline, and prioritize effectively.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.
Experience creating and refining sales materials, proposals, and client-facing presentations.
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales tools.
Entrepreneurial mindset with resilience, adaptability, and a drive to succeed in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
