About the Role
We are seeking a proactive, entrepreneurial professional to join the U.S. Energy Clearing Sales team. This is a hunter role, focused on new client origination rather than account management. The successful candidate will play a key part in building the U.S. franchise by identifying prospects, onboarding new clearing relationships, and expanding the firm’s reach across futures and energy markets.
PLEASE NOTE:
We are hiring at multiple levels. While prior Clearing Sales experience is highly valued, the firm is also open to industry professionals from FCMs, banks, trading houses, or client relationship management roles who have direct client-facing experience and are motivated to transition into a front-office, revenue-generating position. Candidates from areas such as client services, operations, or credit will be considered if they have demonstrated success engaging with clients and strong knowledge of futures, energy, or related markets.
This role is based in New York or Houston, with in-office expectations and client travel as needed.
Responsibilities
Leverage existing client and industry relationships to onboard energy-focused clearing clients with DMA and/or voice execution opportunities.
Grow clearing and interest revenues, while introducing clients to broader product and service offerings.
Support liquidity for clients through futures product trading capability.
Manage market risk for the futures product set within defined risk limits while generating positive returns.
Partner with data, research, and analytics teams to identify hedging strategies and opportunities.
Collaborate with sales and broking teams to originate hedging solutions and structured transactions.
Oversee onboarding and maintenance of client relationships, ensuring strong communication and support.
Work with central operations and technology teams to improve efficiency.
Strategize to increase P&L through market and product analysis.
Ensure compliance with U.S. and global regulatory requirements (SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC, and relevant exchanges).
Act as a role model for high standards of conduct, integrity, and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
5 to 10+ years of experience in the Energy Futures product area.
Strong knowledge of futures market infrastructure and electronic execution.
Demonstrated experience managing risk in client portfolios.
Proven track record in regulated environments with understanding of compliance and risk requirements.
Strong network within institutional energy markets (banks, hedge funds, trading houses, etc.).
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
Analytical and decisive, with the ability to identify opportunities and mitigate risks quickly.
