The firm is continuing to invest in its fixed income and derivatives capabilities, with a focus on expanding its Fixed Income Group and delivering advisory-led solutions around balance sheet and interest rate risk for regional banks and mortgage-related institutions.

About the Role

The firm is seeking a Managing Director to lead the build and expansion of its Fixed Income Group across North America, focused on advising financial institutions on balance sheet and interest rate risk.

This is not a traditional fixed income sales role. The position sits at the intersection of origination, advisory, and derivatives, requiring the ability to engage financial institutions on balance sheet exposure and design hedging strategies across interest rate products.

You will work directly with regional banks and mortgage-related institutions to evaluate portfolio and interest rate risk, developing hedging strategies using swaps, futures, and related derivatives. The role involves translating market dynamics into actionable solutions, partnering closely with trading and internal teams to execute on client objectives.

This is a senior, front-office mandate with full responsibility for originating relationships, driving revenue, and shaping the direction of the platform across North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate and grow relationships across regional banks and mortgage institutions

  • Advise clients on balance sheet exposure, ALM, and interest rate risk

  • Structure and deliver hedging strategies across swaps, futures, and derivatives

  • Drive new business generation and revenue growth

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team

  • Partner with internal teams to execute client strategies

  • Lead and scale the Fixed Income Group platform




Requirements
  • 15+ years in rates, derivatives, or fixed income sales with a strong track record of origination

  • Established relationships across regional banks and/or mortgage-related institutions

  • Deep expertise in interest rate products, including swaps, futures, and hedging strategies

  • Experience advising clients on balance sheet risk and ALM-driven solutions

  • Proven ability to generate revenue and build long-term client relationships

  • Ability to design and communicate hedging strategies, not just execute transactions

  • Experience working cross-functionally with trading, structuring, and risk teams

  • Track record of building or scaling a platform, desk, or business line

  • Strong commercial instincts and executive-level communication skills
