About the Role

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations of the company. In this role, the VP of Finance will provide leadership and guidance across financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, cash flow management, and risk management. The SVP will work closely with the CBO, COO, and other senior leaders to align financial strategy with business goals, ensuring profitable growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Shape and execute financial strategy aligned with organizational goals

  • Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic financial insights

  • Maximize profitability through planning, analysis, and risk management

FP&A, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across departments

  • Develop models and reporting frameworks that drive informed decisions

  • Monitor KPIs and recommend adjustments to enhance performance

Cash Flow & Capital Management

  • Maintain strong liquidity and optimize working capital

  • Implement cost controls and operational improvements

  • Support financial operations in partnership with the COO

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Oversee preparation of financial statements and reporting packages

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS and industry regulations (SEC, FINRA, etc.)

  • Coordinate audits and strengthen internal controls

Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks (operational, market, liquidity)

  • Manage insurance, hedging, and business continuity strategies

  • Enhance policies and procedures to protect company assets

Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop the finance and accounting team

  • Build collaboration across departments including Operations and Sales

  • Establish clear performance metrics and mentorship plans

Strategic Partnerships & M&A

  • Support due diligence and financial modeling for acquisitions

  • Assist with integration and alignment of financial processes post-transaction

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field required

  • MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred


Experience

  • 10+ years of financial leadership experience, including 3+ in a senior role

  • CPA or Big 4 background strongly preferred

  • Experience in PE-backed environments highly valued

  • Proven track record in FP&A, budgeting, and financial reporting

  • Strong foundation in cash flow, risk management, and scaling operations


Skills

  • Excellent communicator across executive and operational teams

  • High integrity, detail-oriented, and results-driven

  • ERP experience (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics)
